Popping

So tonight was the first time I attempted popping my corn snake but I don't think I did it right as I was afraid of applying to much pressure and I don't think I had the right angle and he's probably around the age where he can resist the process. He's not very old maybe 5 months and 21g but he's not a hatching either.

Anyways he was sexed by a breeder as male, I know you can mistake a male for a female but can you wrongly sex a snake as a male? I didn't assume you can but if it was possible I would try to pop him again.

Thanks for the help!

I think the only way someone would realistically mistake a boy for a girl is if the snakes look identical and accidentally got switched before going to their new homes. However, if the breeder is very inexperienced, it's possible that they could pop out the scent glands and mistake it for a boy. When I was learning to sex my babies, that it what happened to me, but once I got it right, there was no way I could mistake a male for a female.

If your breeder popped your snake as a male, I would say it is safe to assume he is indeed male.
