Possible Breeding problems?

Recently, my wild type corn (Snickers) and my Miami Phase corn (Cous-Cous) mated. I have a possible issue however- Snickers (the female) is a poor eater. If i'm lucky she eats every month, for the last year. She's not in the best shape she could be, however her girth has grown and i'm afraid because of her lack of eating, concieving eggs might harm her. Is there any thing I need to know, do or otherwise about this situation? I do hope she lays fertile eggs, but I do care for her safety as well. Plus the way shes been eating lately, even if she were to have a fertile clutch her offspring would be sickly... does anyone have anything to say about this matter? I sure could use advise... :uhoh:

What was Snickers pre-mating weight?

It's really not good to mate a snake that's under weight for a whole gambit of health reasons. Besides laying infertile eggs, she could become egg bound, and/or the eggs could take too many nutrients from her already depleted body and she could become dangerously thin and possibly ill.

If you're co-habbing, for the sake of your female, split them up. If you're not, then don't mate them until Snickers is eating regularly and is a healthy weight.

If she's already pregnant you're going to have to keep a close eye on her, but with any luck her poor nutrition will keep her from producing egg follicles and she won't be fertile.
