So my new snake has had its first meal last night. My tank is setup so that the 'cool' side is about 73.6 F and the 'warm' side is about 84.2 F. Ever since I put him back in his tank after feeding, he has been hiding on the 'cool' side. I was wondering if I should be concerned about this for proper digestion reasons... thanks in advance :)

I agree. Some snakes simply prefer to be in the cold side. Also sometimes you wont see it but when they need the heat they will wait until is dark and there is no noise about before they go get some heat for a while.
