its been about 24 hours since i fed jack. since then he has wrapped himself in a ball on his "tree" and hasnt moved for about the last 12 hours. I would like to take a look at him to make sure the lump is gone, but the way he is curled i can really see. Should I risk a little handling (just enough to get him on the cage floor) so soon after feeding? if the lump is there, then what? i fed him 1 pinky, and the pet store doesnt sell any smaller, so do i just wait until he grows into them? if it helps u help me, hes only about 8 inches long, and i think only a few weeks old. i was told he should grow significantly within a couple months, but.... i dunno what to expect.

Imagine yourself eating a very big meal. You wouldn't want to move too much either. I usually notice in my snake that his lump is gone around 48+. Considering your snake is so small, I wouldn't be surprised if it took longer. However, it has only been 24 hours so I would not handle him yet. If you are dieing to see how big the lump is, just touch him or place him on the substrate.

And I think your snake is fine on pinkys. If he handles this one, then you have nothing to worry about. If he doesn't handle it, you may want to cut the pinky in half... but the best thing you can do now is wait.

alright, i was a little freaked after reading through some of the husbandry section.... but if urs does fine and the lump is still there after 2 days then i guess i wont worry. thanks

Yeah just give him time. I takes 3-5 days to digest bro. How old is your snake? How much does he weigh, and how thick is he?

not sure about age or weight, i would say a couple weeks tho. hes about 8-9 inches long (without having actually put him to a tape) and about as big as a no. 2 pencil around. i figured this may be the case, i just wanted to be sure. thanks :-D
