Hi everyone,
Well I was feeding and cleaning just a bit ago and low and behold my albino okeetee girl shed ;o) Now, she laid a clutch on 4/19, had her post-lay shed on 4/29 and was placed with another male on 4/29, 5/1, 5/3 and 5/5...she was eating 1 baby chick or 2 adult mice every 5 days until last week when she refused a meal. She ate 1 mouse today and shed....what's up? If she's gravid she's not even looking like it yet. Ideas?
Heather

I doubt it is a pre-lay shed...just a regular shed. She'll probably have another shed in a few weeks (a pre-lay shed) if she's gravid. But just to be on the safe side, go ahead and put her nest box in with her. Stranger things have been known to happen!
