Predict adult coloring from hatchling?

I wasn't able to find a post on this, (sorry if it's already out there and I've missed it) but here it goes:

Is there any good way to predict what color/pattern a hatchling will grow up to be?
I was hoping to get some type of Amel/Hypo (something along the lines of a Lava, Sunkissed... or maybe a Bloodred) this upcoming fall.

Thanks.

Your best bet is to see the parents, although there are no guarantees.

Some morphs change more than others as they grow, because yellow pigments are the slowest to develop. If you buy a hatchling from a morph with little or no yellow then it will change less than one from a morph with a lot of yellow. Amel-based morphs do change quite a bit over the first 2-3 years.
