Here's Mystic, my amel. Her colors do an odd little fade-y thing half way down her body. Dunno why, but I like it.

It would be great if that turned out to be a genetic trait
 
Thats a really great looking snake!! I have an Amel that has no colour to his saddles on the last third of of his body.
Thats why I bought him.

Hmmm

I don't know how genetic her colors will be, I always just considered them to be a kinda unique little "glitch" or something. I might find out in a few years though. This year I'm breeding her to my male "god only knows what" and I think I'll be selling most of the babies (unless I get something realy wacky). But if in a few years I breed them again and have more space for hold-backs, I'll be able to see exactly what I'm working with here.
