Another forum I am a member of lets me put my mouse over the thread title and see the beginning words of the post.
Very convenient for fast reading while scanning and not having to click on something you might not want to read just yet.

Another forum wants me to become a paying member to get this option.

I haven't seen anything here about this so just my suggestion.
Is it possible I have this ability and haven't switched an option in my personal settings?
 
I didn't implement this here for two reasons.

(1) It puts a LOT of extra code in each page being downloaded from the server to your PC so those text tags can be present for each and every thread displayed, whether you do a mouseover or not to each thread.

(2) I personally don't like that feature and find it bothersome and distracting.

It doesn't really bother me to be honest. You can't read all of the text to see if it's of interest to you so end up having to look at the thread anyway!
 
Yea it doesn't bother me that bad either. I do like the feature though.
Was just wondering about that and thought I'd ask.
