Progression: Asher the Super Red Factor Fire!

Introducing my new cornsnake, Asher. She's a Super( homozygous ) Red Factor Fire, father was a Red Factor Fire from the South African line and her mother was a SMR Cayenne Fire. She was produced by the wonderful Don Soderberg, who was amazing to work.

DAY 1

Sorry for the bad pic, caught her at an awkward moment and it was her first day so I didn't wan't to stress her out too much. She's since had her first meal and is settling in. The color on her is just unbelievable, definitely will get better pics soon. Really excited to see her color change, this first year is going to be insane :crazy02:

Tango says hi to what is probably his little sister! The transition from little red and white noodle to brilliant red beauty is pretty amazing. It only gets better from there. :)

She's settling into her viv. Found her favorite spot, this grove along the edge just her body width. I have her on a high spot so I can always look up and see her, she's hangs out up there almost every morning. Photo taken from this morning. lol makes it convenient to measure her when she's all stretched out like that. 13 inches at 10 gram, such a tiny noodle

Asher says hello back, they probably have the same S.A. father. What was Tango's hatch day?

Very likely. His dam is also from the SA line. July 13 I believe. Don had a late season due to surgery, so I'm sure she was a bit later.

ha Asher's hatch day was August 13th so almost exactly a year apart :) her mom is not from the SA line she's an SMR Cayenne that was loaned back to Don for this season from John Finsterwald of Colorado Corns. It'll be interesting to see how their colors differ.

It's still there, but I think sometimes Photobucket glitches out a bit and doesn't show a photo for a little bit. Maybe when they're doing maintenance? Imgur doesn't seem to have that problem. :shrugs:

She looks a lot like Tango did at that size. Going to be a lovely lady!

Also consider using Imgur instead as I find photobucket to be somewhat less permanent. If you move albums around or change them, old links tend to break.

Here is a 3 year old male (mine don't grow very fast but the pic is not retouched except to resize), the red comes a lot quicker since Don (South Mountain Reptiles) introduced the South African genes to the Cayenne line. Yours will continue to get better all the time.
Great girl you have

Thanks everyone for the picture help and compliments. She's cute even if a little feisty lol I'll miss her red nose when her whole face is red.

@MysticExotics I have no plan to breed her, she is my pet only. I am a breeder but not for cornsnakes.

@zorro you're John Finsterwald right? Asher is actually from a clutch that you collaborated with Don this past season, I wonder if that's the sire :D

No that guy was to small to breed this year, the dad is a South African cayenne fire from Don and the mom is my cayenne fire that is down at Don's.
