Hi,

I've included a pic of a space I am planning to convert into a vivarium. My basic goal is to get some glass cut to shell the incloser with aquarium silicone. Cut openings and mess them for heat lamps. Doorway will be sliding glass doors. What do you think?

Sounds neat! I personally would find a way to use an under tank heater versus a heat lamp, but to each their own. I think it's going to look great! Post pics when you have it finished!
Out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of the viv space?

My two cents, I would build an acrylic enclosure to spec that would fit perfectly in there! That way you can belly heat/probe, and remove it easily for cleaning. Just a thought, though wood and glass is certainly cheaper. Is this for a snake or something else?

If you are getting a hatchling, I would be careful with sliding glass doors. The little ones can sometimes squeeze through the two pieces of glass.

I also agree with trying to utilize the belly heat source.
