PVC tubing safe hide?

I just picked up a piece of pvc tubing that is 2" diameter and abt 18" long. I was wondering if it is safe to use as a hide. My Okee is about 4ft and 460g. i tried a search and found nothing.

I'm not a fan of hides I can't get them out of easily - I like ones I can just lift off them. You'd be surprised how firmly they can lodge themselves inside something tubular when they don't want to be disturbed (which is most of the time!). Perhaps you could find some a bit wider, and cut it in half lengthwise?

Other than that I can't see a problem. Just make sure any cut endges are filed down so there are no sharp bits, and disinfect it regularly. PVC sounds pretty ideal in maintenance terms!
