Question about incubation temps and pattern

im not sure if this is the right place to post this but here is my question.
I was talking to a corn breeder last night who produced a snake with motley/stripe patterns and says that both parents do NOT carry motley or stripe.
She claims that the pattern is a result of a spike in temps during incubation.
Is this possible?

if its actually motley or stripe, it would have a clear belly and nothing to do with incubation, it would be the result of the parents being het for the gene.

temp spikes have been known to cause funky patterns, like aztec though.
