Question about insecticides

We have earwigs! I'm not sure where they're coming in or if they came in on someone's houseplants/etc. (I live in an apartment in a really old house.) Before I go spraying around the foundation/windows/doors, does anyone know what's safe to spray without removing the snakes? Esfenvalerate is supposed to be safe around pets/children. I know it's safe for the rats, but I don't know what it might do to the snakes. Is there something else I should use? Or should I just move everybody out for a few hours or overnight? I've got 15 hatchlings out plus my collection, so I'd rather not move them if I can get away with it. Any help/suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

I wouldn't trust any pesticide that you can smell yourself in the room after spraying. We have a professional come out and spray around the outside of the house and we don't smell it inside, but the animals have to be kept in until it's completely dry. After it's dry, its' safe. I don't know about the chemical you're using, but better to err on the side of safety.
