Question about lamps...

Is it okay to leave the lamp on 24/7? I have a heat lamp with a regular bulb at one end of the tank for the warmer side. I was worried about not giving him a day/night cycle, since that light is on all the time. Or does that even matter?

I don't think it matters much either way, but I'm using a ceramic heat emitter 24/7 that doesn't produce any light at all. It lasts waaaaay longer than a bulb and doesn't keep us awake at night. Either way though, you're fine assuming temperatures are staying in normal ranges.

if i've done my research right you should have a bottom heater 24/ and because they are nocturnal snakes you should have a dim light for night so it doesn't screw up their sleep cycles. like a blue or red light for night.
