question about mating behaviour

gsnakes

New member
who goes after who normally

the male after the female
or can the female go after the male

today i putted my snow with my normal striped together in my rack
they have always been together in a normal enclosure but the stripe is trying to mate with the snow

the snow is a male i know that for sure
the striped was sold to me as a male

Males will mate with other males as a show of dominance - it's an aggression display.

If they're both male and have been co-habiting before, it's possible that you've upset the balance of pwer by giving them a new space to fight for.

A really reluctant female might also try and chase off an over-eager male.

Either way, it's bad news and I think you need to separate them before some damage is done.

I agree, seperate them.

If they are already competing you do not want things to get sour.
