Question about my snake's skin....

yellowbellyhippy

PaganVeganHippie!
My skin seems kind of flaky and dry in some spots. His behaivor is normal but should I be worried? Would it be about humidity? I have been misting a bit to see if that will help.

Would love advice!

Thank you~

I would suspect humidity, especially because of the part of the country you live in. Have you tried making a humidity hide with moist cypress mulch or sphagnum moss?

Well, for your skin, you can always throw some lotion on. :grin01:

But for your snake, I would recommend a humid hide using sphagnum moss. Or covering a portion of the screen top. Or misting.

i had that problem i solve it by getting a large glass sheet and some aquarium selant and just seal the glass to ur screen top. I also added a humidity box.

Putting another water bowl partly over the heat mat, if you have one, & covering part of the lid over that bowl works well too.
