i have a rheostat, and thermometers set up inside my viv that give me temperature on the cool side, and inside my cornsnakes warm hide
i have got a range set up on my homemade rheostat, and i just can't seem to fine tune it enough to get exactly 80-85 degrees
i think it has more to do with fluxuating outside temperatures then it does with my rheostat or UTH,
when i think i've got it perfect at 85 degrees, later at night it will rise up to 90 and then i'll turn my rheostat down a little bit, and a little bit more.. till i'm back to where i started at 85 degrees,
my question is since i don't want to mess around with some sort of thermostat divice is, would it be better if i kept it lower so that the temperature only "tops out" at 85? and hangs around 75-80 a lot of the time?
or would it be better if it is 80-85 and topping out at 90..
