Question about Terrarium Lids

The Cat

New member
I've been considering acquiring either a crested or gargoyle gecko and I found an aquarium that I think would be alright. The issue is, the brand does not offer screen lids, but only aquarium style ones, such as the hoods with lights attached underneath or sliding glass tops. My question is, would either of those work for geckoes? Would they provide sufficient air flow?

Never mind, I've decided that buying an Exo Terra would be easier. I've heard conflicting cage sizes from different care sheets. Would a single adult be alright in a 12 x 12 x 18 or 18x18x 12? Those are well under 20 gallons, which are recommended, but I've also heard 10 gallons can be okay, so would either of those work?
