Questions about gaps in the Zilla Tanks

Hey everyone. I just got a new tank for my yearling, and I was really excited to get the 15 gallon zilla tank with the interlocking screen. I noticed that there are some slight gaps in the corners, especially by where the cords are meant to stick out. Does anyone have any solutions for this? You can see what I mean here.

Can't see it, but aquarium silicone can seal them up. A snake WILL find any hole. Tape causes trouble.

These are the gaps I mean. How does one fill them with silicone and still remain able to unlatch the tank when need be? Sorry if this has already been answered!

I'd use some thin packing foam (comes in rolls) to fill the gap (using a hot glue gun to attach). I cut strips of that stuff all the time to insulate and fill gaps.

I can't tell from the photos, but those holes look like the size of a wooden match stick?? I can't imagine a corn snake of any age fitting through there... if they are part of the lid that is needed to open I would just ignore them.

They...are about the size of a matchstick. They just make me nervous. Does anyone use any additional locks/weights with the zilla tanks?

I had one boy escape out of these holes three times in the first week he was with me! After the second time I covered the holes with a piece of plastic glued into place, but there was a tiny rip in the screen (it is really flimsy mesh) and he escaped again through that hole. Now I use that sliding lid held in place with Velcro, a regular metal top over that held down with a heavy paver stone at each corner. It is overkill, but this guy is a total Houdini.
