questions about jungle corns

I saw on corncrazy's site that she has some jungle corns. I really like the yellow and white one and the red yellow and white one to the right of the yellow and white one. What kind of king and corn crossed to produce these. All it says is they are king and corn crosses.

California Kings

jungle corns

I mean what type of corn and what type of california. Was it a albino california what kind of corn. amel, normal, blizzard, snow or what.

Probably an amel corn X albino king. She did produce those, so it may be better just to PM her and ask.

You are correct redrott, I did not produce them. I honestly do not know what the parents of my jungles were. I simply know that they are corn x California King. The person I bought them from did not produce them either, so I am not able to find out, either.

I am very glad you enjoyed looking at them. I am also VERY fond of them. They are some of the prettiest snakes in my collection.

I still want one of Mellow's babies next year. Who do you plan to breed him to?
If all goes well, I plan to breed him to Suni next season. She should be big enough by then. Amazon is still a little thing. She is the smallest '03 I have. I have '04s bigger than her. I think she only weighs in at close to 90 grams. She is a voracious feeder, though. I guess I need to cut her mice and see if it helps.

Get in line LOL. Hopefully I can send my jungle girl over to Terri too and see what we can get from her and Mello.

Man.. I'm looking for a female to go with my albino jungle, but the yellow one is the closest you have.. there seems to be decent variation amoung these.. I want a girl that looks like my guy so that their babies will *hopefully* turn out like them.. though I don't know enough about Jungles.. Maybe I should ask Dr. Funk.. he bred Guchi, we should be able to get a mate from him, right? I just hope he has some different bloodlines going.. :D

Do the jungles eat other snakes like kings do? Or do they stick to mice like corns?

Guchi has never gone for anybody else when we're soaking them or cleaning cages or whatnot... but I wouldn't ever completely trust him not to.. ~shrug~ I couls ask Dr. Funk about that too..

My jungle corns can and have eaten other snakes with gusto too. They're basically mouths with stomachs.

HeHe...actually I think Kathy was in line first :D But if they produce for me, there should be enough for the both of you (and hopefullly the other people who have inquired about them, as well).

Laine...that's a very pretty jungle you have. I wish you luck in finding a mate. Check back with me next season if you've not found one by then, and maybe I'll have something you are interested in.

Erin...I put my mal in with a snow corn for a while this season and he never went after her. She was quite a bit bigger than him, though, so maybe he was intimidated by her. ;)

Honestly, I have never had any cannibalism here (even with the kings). Of course, I do not leave my snakes together all the time except for a few weeks during breeding season, either. I think that with jungles, it depends on whether they have more of a king or corn personality. Bottom line here is...don't trust any of them together. Give them all separate enclosures and you don't have to worry about them eating each other.

I am sorry, Katt, that you have lost some to cannibalism. That must be hard.

Not a problem Terri, whenever Mello is in need of a girlfriend, just send me an IM! LOL :grin01:

Thanks for the sentiment, but I have not "lost" snakes to cannibalism. I feed off non-feeders and deformed snakes to my jungles and other kings. :)

Ah...sorry for the misunderstanding! :D

Hehehe, that sure made me laugh! That's real nice of you to be considerate enough for to post your sentiments. Makes me believe in the Internet!
