I'm a Daddy!!!
Hey guys,
This is probably a new question, but I'd like to know.
I live in Northern California, which isn't really a bad climate, but the winters can sometimes get into the 30's. For this reason, I will need a source of heat for my corn. I really don't have money for a UTH or heat lamp at this time
I have a heat rock, but I have seen in the FAQ's that those are NOT recommended because they can cause burns on the poor snake, who's trying to get warm but can't find a happy medium.
My question is this: Can I put some sort of porous covering on the rock, that will allow the snake to get on the rock and receive heat without touching it? I'm thinking specifically of like a crocheted blanket that I can wrap around or put over the top of the rock, that way the corn would get direct heat from the rock, but without the burns of a solid surface against it's bare skin.
Would this be a good idea? Input please...!
