Quick question about Boas and humidity please

I will be getting a Hogg Island Boa in a month or two and have been doing a load of research on them. What is the ideal humidity to keep them at as i have found figures ranging from 60% to 80%. What is the ideal figure to aim for and will to high a figure present any health issues for the snake. Thanks in advance for any helpful pointers.

Kindest regards

Habistatman

I don't know the "optimal" humidity level for Hogg Islands, but I keep mine at about 50-60% (she's in a tub). Her sheds are perfect, her appetite is excellent, and she doesn't have any visible signs of any adverse effects of keeping her at that humidity level.

that is perfect. i wouldnt change a thing. that is about what i keep my boas at, sometimes a little higher, but only right before a shed:dancer:

Thanks, Rick! Good to know I got it right :). I don't have enough boas to be a pro at keeping them (1 Hogg Isl., 1 BCI, 1 Rosy & 2 BRBs, plus 1 Lipstick Sunglow waiting to come home), but I sure do love them all, and they seem to do well, here :). Much less picky than either the BP or the GTP about humidity, too. Dang pythons! LOL!
