Quick Question. IMPORTANT.

Hi all,
Quick question. Anubis was out and about tonight and as I glanced in his tank I saw him "Yawning" or "Realining his jaws". Now, I fed him yesterday, and he "Yawned" after his feeding like he always do but do they do this other times. Was wondering if he had a regurg.Never had one before but was just wondering. I havne't checked the tank for a regurg yet cause its only been 24 hrs since I fed him and I dont' wanna disturb him at all. So if someone could please help it would be greatly apprecited. Tks

There was a recent thread started that was all about yawning....I'll see if I can find it....but, yes, they do yawn. I personally have not seen my snakes yawn but I saw it happen several times at a reptile show. As for the regurge, you would probably smell it even before you would see it...and should have nothing to do with yawning. Good luck!

oh ok. tks. just me being paranoid.

If you can't smell anything, then he hasn't regurged. Trust me, it's rank!

Only had my snake(s) a few weeks, but I've seen mine yawn almost daily.
I had a Corn Snake for a short time that was a wild one, caught in a warehose. Due to a inexperiance, it got away to be seen no more. But it would yawn a lot.
The one I have now (almost two weeks), yawns every evening just before getting active. She has found a spot she likes in between a couple of large pieces of GrapeVine Root that forms sort of a hollow log type thing. She stays in there most of the time during the day, and when she comes out (between 7 and 9 PM), she starts her evening off with a big yawn.

I have a couple of snakes I see yawn from time to time. Usually at dusk before they get active....guess they're waking up lol. I agree about regurge. I had one that was regurging and everytime it regurged, I could smell it the second I went into my snakeroom.
