So I bought a group of non feeders all are eating except 6 I have been feeding them mouse tails since everything else didn't work..I read about other people doing that......can they eat those until I can get them to eat pinks??

Oh by the way there were 17.....lost one and there are 6 I'm trying to get to eat so that's pretty good.....just wondering if that will be enough food to live off of until they eat pinks??

They voluntarily eat tails, but won't touch pinks? That's a new one on me. If you are force feeding them tails, just be as gentle as humanly possible. Nothing makes a snake less want to eat than being force fed, so it's a catch-22. They'll die with nothing after a couple of months, yet they aren't likely to feel much like eating with food being shoved down their throats weekly. I'd offer pinks every day before forcing tails, and hopefully some of them take.

Yeah I have to put the tails in their mouths and then they willing eat them as long as they aren't to big....I offer frozen thawed pinks and I've offered live...I don't want them to die.....so they should be fine on tails til they eat pinks??

Well, that all depends on how long it takes them. There isn't a ton of nutrition in a tail, but it will buy some time. Will they eat a pinkie if you start it in their mouth?

I've tried but haven't lately cause I didn't want to traumatize them too much...I will try again though...maybe try just half a head??

If they "chew" and take down tails once you put them in their mouth, they should do the same with a pinkie. It's just a little harder to get started.
