I woke up this morning and Simon was curled in the middle of his tank, which was unusual because he always hides. I was worried because he's gotten so skinny over the last few weeks - backbone showing, and skin folds. But he had had two regurges, ate two half-pinkies a week apart, then refused five meals in a row. There wasn't much else I could do. I'd tried everything... he was never really healthy. It was frustrating.
I came home this evening and he was rolled over sideways, but when I picked him up he was still moving a little. I wanted to give him another chance, but every time I left him alone for more than a few minutes he was on his side with his head rolled back again.
I just put him in the freezer for a long nap.... I hate to see him go, but I hated seeing him suffering, too. I hope I did the right thing.
