R.I.P

corn freakn'

New member
R.I.P to my snake, it was a missing red, anery whatever. he drowned....i hate it, i could not find him, but he was trapped in the water of my plant, i thought my ghost ate him because he was very thick.

but

What I am saying is why would that cause him to drown? Cornsnakes can swim fairly well. and shouldn't drown unless hehad no way out.

i am just asking as to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

bmm

ill try to explain

he went into the sand of the plant, and to the bottom of the plastic outerlayer of the roots,on the bottom of that thing there are holes, just big enough to let him through, under the thing was a little bit of space, filled with water to feed the plant.
he got there some how and could not get out and ...drowned

loss

sorry to hear about your snake i have lost some to but you need to learn by your mistakes not neccisarly yours anyway but i would highly suggest that you take that plant out from your cage so your others wont go there, i have made some dumb mistakes. ounce i brought a corn to see a vet cause of a sneeze she had she was a really awesome snow anyway i got some antibiotics to give to hear.but i had left her in my van in a snake bag in a styreofoam box so she dont get to hot and brought her home after work. well when i got home and brought her in, i guess the sun heated the box and she was dead. so i ended up with a dead breeder a vet bill for med and visit i was bummed but will not do that again i should of brought her home right away

SORRY TO HEAR ~~~~~~~:~

I'd be angry too. I hate those type of life lesson, but I think the truth is that many of us have had them. I lost a baby snow that I had only about a week. He just got out and was never seen again:( . I remember talking to Rich on the phone and some good advice he gave was the KISS theory. Keep It Simple Silly! The less stuff in the tanks, the less chance of something going wrong. I keep a "sunroom" tank that my guys hang out in but don't live in. It has the plants and stuff and looks great and they get to explore but then back into their own rooms. Again, sorry for your loss. ~~~~~~~:~ Sam
