My year-old snake doesnt make much of an appearance at all, always on the warm side and always in the hide. She's lovely to handle, very active when she's out but once back in the tank its straight into her cave, not to be seen until I get her out again!

I know snakes are resting animals that like to hide but I never see her at all!

Is there anything I can do to make her a bit more lively? Or will this just happen in time?

This is completely normal behavior. Some of my snakes, I never see out until feeding/cleaning day. Some feel comfortable roaming, others don't. Some gain some level of comfort - others don't.
