Edited version :)

Just watching Peaky Blinders from the start ..... it's a fairly recent program 2013 I think , so there's only TWO series of 6 eps so far .
This is a truly amazing series IMHO . Over the years I've raved about The Sopranos , The Wire , Breaking Bad , Mad Men , The Tudors , Deadwood and more recently Boardwalk Empire , True Detective , Game of Thrones and Vikings BUT this is possibly my favourite of ALL !!

Superb , writing , cast , acting , photography , locations everything is just to my taste . Even the background music is wonderful ...

Best of all its "based" on real people and real events rather like Boardwalk Empire and Deadwood .

I LOVE "The Royals". I am curious what you folks across the pond think of it! SO funny and well done. Liz Hurley is the perfect queen. "Royal Beaver". I cried I was laughing so hard.

I love "Better Call Saul". Was wary, how can you spin off on "Breaking Bad"? But both the characters of Saul and Mike are really good and it is making a great back story for "BB". And I like that they use a lot of "BB" characters and scenes (Tuco, the diner where Mike and Lydia sit).

I will definitely check out "Cheeky Blinders". Thanks!

How might one find this series? :)

It's on Netflix as well. Netflix is cheap, and I believe there is a 30 day free trial (be careful, you might get hooked)!

My recommendations (based on what you wrote and also my personal preferences) are House of Cards, The Killing, Fringe, an oldie but a goodie - Lost, or if you're in the mood for comedy Arrested Development or Shameless (American or English). All of these except Shameless are on Netflix.

Hrm. I don't believe any of these are based on real people, but hey.. hopefully there's at least ONE in the bunch you take to.

I recommend Black Mirror.
Need...more...episodes!

Loving it as well! When I first heard about the spin-off I was thinking it was going to be cheesy and awful, but this is fantastic! I like that Mike is getting so much air time.

I want to watch Better Call Saul! I think I'm going to buy it from iTunes.

There's a thread that discusses TV called Current Favorite TV shows- if anyone is interested!

Another amazing series for gangster lovers is Gomorrah . Italian gangster series with English subtitles ( you honestly don't notice them though ! )

This is as good as Romanzo Criminal but set in modern times .

Okay, just watched the first three episodes of "The Returned" and it is AMAZING. This is a great storyline with interesting characters and mysterious happenings, very well done so far. LOVE IT!!!
