does anyone on this forum have snakes that regurg with mice or fuzzies but not rat pups or rat pinkies. i have a sunkissed that regurges with anything that has fur, but if i feed him rat pinkies he keeps it down . anyone know why this might be ? should i keep him on the rat pinkies then go to pups he is 1 1/2 y.o. what will he be lacking if he gets no fur is there some kind of nutrients i should supplement? thanks gail

are you sure its a regurge? Because fuzzy and pinkie poo looks a little bit different (some hair, maybe a little clump) and pinkies dont have any hair to poo out (Obviously)

regurg

quigs, did you read my post ? i said i was feeding him mice with fur and he regurges so i went to pups no fur that's why he's on rat pups i want him to keep something in his stomach . and he has . 8 corn yes it was definitely regurge it was practically the whole mouse both times and there was a waiting period in there before feeding him again. now i gave him rat pinkies the last 2 feedings and yesterday i gave him a rat pup with fuzz on it we'll see if he keeps it down . thanks gail

They don't/can't digest the fur. That is what most of their waste is. So rat pinks or if you can find them hairless mice would be fine. No nutritional loss.

thank you

thanks for the info i always thought they needed the fur but i'm new to this .learn something everyday. i've seen hairless rats but i believe they are expensive aren't they ? more so than a normal rat? ah i got it shave it . LOL JOKING. thanks again gail
