Not sure what you mean but you could try letting the snake crawl in a damp towel like you do when remove dry skin. This, of course, is after the 48 rule.
 
I think she meant that he (The snake) didn't want to eat and just 'crawled' (for want of a better word) all over the food...hence the smell ;)
 
Haha! Thanks Paradox, yeah I was just having some fun with that post but yes. I tried the trick again where you leave the brained fuzzy in the container with the snake overnight. He never ate it and of course by morning the fuzzy had quite the odeur to it... and now the snake shares that quality.

Is there anything safe that I can put in the water to help the oder?

Or to clean him? I'm guessing he's now crawling with fuzzy-bacteria... more than before.
