Correct me if I'm wrong, but reputation points are earned, right? Seeing that you've got more points than posts, I think you're doing pretty well! :wavey:
Perfect!Don't worry - once you have been around a while, you will accumulate the points naturally, according to how helpful your posts are, or how much others appreciate your contributions to the discussion at hand. The system would lose any value at all if points were given out totally randomly, though. So join in the discussions in a meaningful way, and you will see your numbers grow quickly!
I don't understand what you mean that your not "new". You have been a member of CS.com for two months. I would say that qualifies you as a "Newbie". Begging for rep points is rather pathetic if you ask me. :shrugs:ok guys im not new but can u plz giv me some rep
Let me just add that I"ve been on here since 2006, and as you can see I've not got NEAR as any rep points as other who have been on here much less time. To me it isn't the rep points that matter, It's the information I may give or recieve that makes the difference.
Again.......... PERFECT!I think that too many people worry about getting rep points and instead of offering their own experience and insight, they regurgitate information from other posts.
I think someone with experience offering advice is more deserving than the guy who just got his snake but has read ten books about the subject and can quote scripture. Asking for rep points is even more ridiculous than pretending to know something to get them.
Ask honest questions and give honest feedback based on experience, and only then will you be deserving of rep points IMHO.
