So... I'm pretty upset about this. I pulled out my amel Charlie to feed him and he made a high pitched wheeze. I froze. I thought to myself, ok, could be a fluke. Just keep an eye on him. Queue him wheezing every time he breaths in or out. And doing a half hearted sneeze. It sounds like a mucousy wheeze. He has NEVER had any health problems what so ever. Never a bad shed, only refuses food when in blue, never lost weight, etc. He is 4 years old, and I don't have a current weight of him but he is just over 4' (measured him with this snake measuring program thing). His weight is good, in fact, here is a recent picture of him.
Here is a recent record of his feeding.
02/23 Shed
02/20 Refused Food, changed water
02/18 Turned Opaque
02/07 Spot cleaned cage, cleaned water
02/01 Changed Water, spot cleaned cage, Fed one F/T Mouse "Jumbo Adult"
So... I am 90% positive he has a respiratory infection (though god only knows HOW he got one) but the other 10% of me does not know. So how long should I wait to see if it's a false alarm, or should I not hesitate and just take him to a vet straight away?
I only ask because this month was supposed to be a light spending month and I'd really rather not spend money on vet bills... but that's most likely just wishful thinking.
