Restless corn won't eat

Haya Tha'baan

my little worm
My 1 1/2 year old corn has been very restless lately. She spends the whole night trying to escape her enclosure by slithering up to the top and falling down with a big thud. She continues to do this throughout the night and has been doing this for a while. Before, she would do this occasionally but not every night. She also seems to be awake during the day as well.

She also hasn't eaten for a month and shows no interest.

What could be wrong?

Are we sure she is a she? This sounds like the restless-not-eating thing male corn snakes do when they are looking for love!

I was going to post a new thread but Your corn is doing what mine is doing now too so Ill share. Mine is a 3 year old female, 4 feet long, and has refused food for 5 weeks now. I feed her alternate feeding her mice rats every week-2 weeks. I keep her water clean and her enclosure spotless. I only feed her thawed or prekilled. I just tried a live and she was not interested. I have NOT tried braining one yet nor have I left her overnight with food. I cannot remember if braining is something done on pinkies for baby snakes or full grown snakes too. How do you brain a fully grown mouse?

Actually I was thinking the same thing. She might be a he! I only guessed when I did a the popping technique for the first time and I only saw red dots. I guess that could be it. Any other possibilities just in case I should be worried?

I know mine is a she. Still wont eat. I triple cleaned the cage a week ago, no change. Changed things around too. No luck. Im euthanize a mouse now and will attempt to brain it although I had no luck finding posts on how to do this to an adult mouse or if that is done. She is going into a box for the night with the brained mouse.

I have an adult female that went on a four month feeding strike last spring, for no apparent reason. i wonder, though, if she was ovulating and then growing and reabsorbing slugs. She eventually started feeding again. Rat pinks tempted her into it.

Nanci, was yours restless?
Im kinda hoping that is what is happening. I had a leopard gecko do that. . . Braining went easy. I did not expect that. Snake sniffed but did not touch. She is now with brained mouse in a cardboard box with top with weights/tape on, inside shower stall. Crossing fingers.

My female just ended her month long feeding strike and has been restless as well though she was probed by my vet female- I have been wondering if there was a mistake, lol However, last night she crushed her diner so I guess she's back:) Your snake could be in blue or just coming out of it and about to shed as well, but at 1 a month or two without food isn't the biggest deal.
