I'm sorry to nitpick - I may actually be in the wrong here. But is Abbotts correct in describing this reverse okeetee? I was under the impression that the Abbotts line originated from Lee Abbott and only pertained to normal okeetees. Somebody help me out here?
She was sold as a Reverse Abbotts, coming from the States, to Germany, to me in Scotland.
She's very bright with nice thick white borders. Exactly what I was hoping for. Whether she is or isn't an Abbotts is irrelevant to me but it would be nice to know if there is such a thing as a Reverse Abbotts. lol
Her parents were abbotts het amel belonging to and bred by Joe Pierce. I suppose he would have to outcross the line to get the amel gene in the mix, but I don't know it that makes them non abbotts? I know people breed Love okees to non love okees and STILL sell them as Love okees... for example.
