Thats what I have told my kids. Still no snake... :shrugs: We went on a week long trip to Disney Land, fed the snakes before we left, came back and no snake.... That was 3 weeks ago, still no snake. It was my only male, have torn the snake room apart. Honestly though, not too concerned if I find it I find it. He was a very pretty snake and really was going to be a beaut....

Thanks for listening and wish me luck. It is getting colder so I do not know if that is a good thing or not. What are the chances that they go down the vents????

Hunting for snake in NV :)

There is a very strong chance the snake will head for the vents. It tends to be warm there, and he's just looking for a nice comfy place to hide for a while. Hope he turns up!

Good luck. Hope you find him soon.....
He might be feeling a little peckish now.....and make his way back to your snake room. You never know. :)
Take care.

I'm sorry to hear about your lost. I just lost my female on Friday. My fear is that she went into the vent also. If I wasn't so petrafied of spiders I would go down the cross space and see what I could find in the vents. My hubby won't be home till late tonight and he's not in the mood anyway today to go crawling around.

My guys are kept in my living room. Is there a good chance that she will return to that area?? I have water there and plan on putting more hides around the house. She loved paper towel rolls so I picked up some from my mother today. Going to put them all around.

I have a question though... I made a bottle trap and put a pinkie in it. This morning I put it in the refridge. Can that pinkie be reused until it stinks? Or maybe just one more night then toss it? Also should I put multiple traps around each room or can she smell the one in the living room?

I would put multiple traps out, and you might try using live pinks. These can live a couple of days and the body temp will stay at a constant. This will help you snake in finding the mouse. Also, multiple traps would probably be best, as long as you don't mind spending the money for the pinks and checking more than one trap.

Good luck.

I've heard from a reliable source that upsidedown packing tape around the doors and vents can sometimes catch a small corn. Make sure you use the water soluable stuff so that you can wash it off. It didn't work for me, but my corns live in my office and lots of people are always tromping around....no wonder she won't come out! :nope:
