Hello all.
Ive got a young Bloodred that has been extremely fun to care for. It looks as though its going through its first shedding (in my possession anyway) so that will be exciting. The question i have is, Im wondering what type of rheostat or thermostats are people using? Are they the expensive pet store variety or are there do-it-yourself items out there that work well? any suggestions

i just use an in line dimmer
this one
75569.fpx

very easy
just plug it into the wall and plug the heater into it
keep a thermometer over the UTH
and tinker with the dimmer till you get the perfect temps
i started with it just barely on
wait a couple hours for it to stabilize then bumped it up a little bit
kept doing that till it was perfect
i think i got mine at home depot for less than $10
