So I've posted a thread about my skydiving baby which can be found here and while I was dealing with evil-kanevil (sp?) I noticed a little tiny black spot on each of his eyes in the very corners by his nose. I'm not sure if this is his little amel way of being in the blue?? or if the bad shed he had last month might have left his eye caps on? It was my first shed last month so I didn't know to look at his head-shed to make sure he got his eye skin (that sounds creepy..wtb technical term?) off.

Or could this be an early sign of blind snake??!! (yea..worse case scenario probably...but im a new mommy..give me a break)

And as a general question, is it known how well snakes can see? I know they mostly use their smell and can feel vibrations...but I'm just curious on eyesight n such.

But anyway, I'm attaching the only pictures that didnt turn out blurry from his leaping episodes...what is his deal!?!!?

Cflips, I don't know what the mysterious black spots are in Ringo's eyes, but I have to say that Ringo is a gorgeous amel baby!

I hope it is nothing serious! Good luck with him.

Amels (red albinos) often have a black spot in their eye(s). It's nothing to worry about. It doesn't have any ill effect on sight and it has nothing to do with retained eyecaps (or eye skin, eew). He's fine.

Lol yea, I re-visited a few pictures I took of him when I first got him and I could see the black spots there too. I guess I just wasn't paying much attention.

:dunce: :toiletgra

My amel has the same spots...but they formed a couple weeks after I got her. I actually thought they were mites at one point X-D
it's nothing to worry about.
