RIP Vickie cat

working in the Gulag
My beloved Vickie, a long haired tortie dilute, went to the Rainbow Bridge today. I had to be at work, but my BFF Sheila was with her & says her passing was peaceful.

I don't know how old angel Vickie was. I got her in 1995 from a friend who was in hospice care for colon cancer. She had tamed Vickie from a feral cat. It never crossed my mind to ask how old she was before my friend died.

Vickie has joined her cat friend Sterling, who came from the same person, but lived with a good friend of mine for reasons to complicated to explain. He crossed in December.

I hope she will be greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by Sterling and by my ever-beloved and much missed Phillip & FluffCat. Phillip died in 1998 and Fluff in 2009.

I have pictures of Vickie somewhere, but they are actual film-type pictures not digital & Goddess only knows where they are. I will post them when & if I find them

I'm happy Vickie Cat got to go peacefully in her own home. RIP Vickie. (((((Betsy)))))

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own,
live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan."

Irving Townsend.

(((Betsy))) I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad she went peacefully, though. RIP Vickie.

I'm very, very sorry to hear that. Our pets are so special, and I know how badly it hurts when they pass. Take care, and R.I.P, Vickie cat!

Mau Bastet, welcome this child of yours into the afterlife and make her one of your guardians for those of us living on the Earthen plane. In the name of our goddess Bastet, blessed be.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Lossing a beloved pet is no easier then losing a beloved human. May Vickie rest in peace now.

Condolences. RIP Vickie cat. I'm sure her life with you was full of love, from you to her and from her to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Betsy. It sounds like Vickie was very lucky to live so many years with you. I'm glad that she went peacefully...may she rest in peace.

I am so sorry...
I know how a cat can become a part of you, and when they leave a part of you does too...
(((HUGS)))

Thanks everyone. I am still crying off & on. I made arrangements for her to be cremated today. That was difficult, to say the least.
