RO or amel with really thick borders rescue

stangs13

Captive Bred Quality ONLY
This little fella/girlly was caught outside my moms school(in HOUSTON TEXAS) by some Custodians(very happy about what they did) who did a very good job of getting it into a bucket and (somewhat) identefiing it as non-venomous. She has several small scars that should heal up really soon, and a large scar on her back that is farly healed and should clear up in the next few months! It is about 1.5 ft long (will get a Serp measurment later) and has a missing eye (also fine) he/she is also pretty skinny her backbone is somewhat visible and it is easily felt, great muscle tone and doesnt have and sines of RI or mouth rot. i also "rescued" a little ball python at PetCo ( I wouldnt calll it a rescue as I gave it back to them :grin01: ) he was about 10FT away from his enclosure. He was on the very bottom row of herp vitamins and I just happend to glance down there and i saw what looked like a ball lpython ,but thought it was on a box/bottle!! Well I took a second look and well it wasnt a pic ,it was a ball!! I picked him up and brung him to the herp guy. Im sure yall have heard enough! :grin01: HERE ARE THE PICS!! Excuse the quality it is a crap camera and wilol be getting new pics later.

I have other pics , but there really blurry and it just looks like a streachy rainbow ,lol.

Wow, she really does look pretty beat up! Will you be keeping her/him?

Oh, and to answer your question, she looks quite a bit like my reverse okeetee male that I got from kathy, but with much more orange in her background. I'd be willing to call her an RO from that, but I'm no expert... Still a pretty snake.

I am not sure if I will be keeping him/her or not, I am going to rehab her and get her on feed and frozen foods. :santa:

Shes really active and alert, weak from not eating , but otherwise ok.Thanks!! :crazy02:

Aww, she's adorable ^_^ poor little thing must've had a tough life. if I'd found her I probably wouldn't be able to resist keeping her :p

Poor little dude, he needs to be given his own personal hilton hotel for the rest of his days......

Well she has been in the wild for a bit. So give the critter some time. I look at it this way, there was a reason why the snake came to you. And really, you know your snakes and maybe this one deserves to live with you? She chose you after all.

i hate to see stuff like that, i really hope it was an escaped snake not a realese. that little guy probably wouldn't have survive long out there being an albino.

Ill probaly end up keeping him/her! She sleeping. Im seeing a buldge ,but Im not sure if its a food source or not. Time will telll!! Ill sdeff keep yall updated! :)
