Rubbermaid?

lolli

Ok this may sound really silly but although I've heard them mentioned hundreds of times and have seen pictures i have to ask this. What exactly is a rubbermaid container? I'm thinking you can only get them in the US, is there an equivelant sold in Britain? It looks kind of like a big food storage container?

'Rubbermaid' is a brand name of a company that makes the storage containers. They tend to be a little thicker and have more resin in them. They also cost more than 'Sterlite' another brand name.

I would really be shocked if you could not get them on your side of the pond. I am pretty sure they are an international supplier. Maybe they have another brand name over there.

They're certainly not as common here in the UK as they are in the US.

But, I did find them in a Focus DIY store up here in Scotland. Only in the smaller sizes though. I bought them to use as feeder containers for my adults. Not for permanent housing.

They're more expensive than the containers you'll find in the likes of Pounstrecher (who are certainly cheap) but the ones in Poundies don't have very secure lids.

:)

Thanks colinmcc Found them last night in Focus and Homebase, never thought to look there. The ones i saw though, would be impossible to see through, would the snake not feel claustraphobic about not seeing out. Also the lids were coloured, wouldnt imagine they would let any light in.
