Hi everyone. Im just wondering if any of you could tell me about the morph The first 2 pictures look like a normal stripe mottley cornsnake but the belly is all white and the head almost looks like a ratsnake? Ive looked at info on blood reds which doesnt seem like the bloodreds that Ive seen. The third picture a silly question but just confirming if this is a reverse oketee previous owner said it was a creamsicle and Im almost positive that its not. thanks a bunch for any info

The first one is a motley. The second is a creamsicle. Creamsicles are *hybrids*. This means the snake is not pure cornsnake, but rather has emoryi ratsnake in it as well as corn snake. Also, even if it wasn't a creamsicle (and it's more than yellow enough to be a high-emoryi one), the borders to the saddle are not big enough to be an RO.

Ok so motley but what color? and whats with the striping? I have an amel motley and sunglow motley with no stripes. Im not familiar with breeding hybreds and have mainly bred snow, anery, amel and sunglow. Are those snakes worthy ofbreeding?

It's a normal motley. Motley can be anything from perfect circles to an almost perfect stripe (referred to as a pinstripe).

Using your genetics, I would focus on the sunglows. If you breed the creamsicle, ALL her babies, even if they look "normal" MUST be labelled as hybrids.

I think the second, the amel, is a normal amel that is not selectively bred.

If you cross orange corns (like okeetees) with grey corns (like miamis) then many amels look like yours.

Your amel have wide white borders probably inherited from an okeetee, but it lack the rich okeete colouration.

First one is a normal motley. The belly is supposed to be plain white on motleys and stripes. Since you were told by the previous owner it was a creamsicle, you should continue to consider it as a creamsicle. It can be very difficult sometimes to tell the difference between an amel cornsnake and a creamsicle, especially if it's lineage has been crossed back to amel cornsnakes, reducing the amount of emory ratsnake bloodline. Even only a little emoryi ratsnake in the lineage back 5 or more generations ago is still enough for it to be a creamsicle.
