Well its turned out to be a sad day. My bloodred motley i got back in april at the expo show died today. He was eating fine 2 pinkie mice every 7 days. The last month he has been only eating 1. I didn't think to much about it just thought he was being picky. Well i fed him a hopper the next step up. Ate it fine, then next day regurge. So i followed the step i waited 8 days fed him just the head of a pinkie. He ate it fine no regurge. Well 4 days later i went to check on him and he was dead. I didnt even see it coming. Thought he was going to get back on track i wonder what went wrong.

Sorry to hear about that Henry, maybe there was an underlying health problem that didn't show up well enough to cause concern. Take care, very sorry to hear about your loss.

Regurges can indicate underlying infection. Perhaps a necropsy is in order for the safety and health of your other snakes?

So sorry about your loss especially since he seemed to be getting back on track holding a meal down, but it wasn't your fault:(

I'm soo sorry for your loss!!

I remember seeing that snake at the Manchester expo and very happy that someone on cs got him....its too bad you won't get to see him grow up :(

That's so sad, I'm really sorry for your loss, Henry. I agree with Hyp, a necropsy might be a good idea in case of contagions, and it will also give you some closure.

You wrote hopper... Was it really a hopper you tried to feed him after he was only on pinks? I ask because the next size up is a fuzzy....
