Hi all -

So we're making preparations for our new (first) Corn Snake. I was very glad to find this forum (there really IS an internet forum for EVERYTHING. We're on Long Island and my wife, three sons (3,4 and 7) are excited to get our first girl. Actually, we don't know if it's going to be a girl, but it'll be pink! Anyhow, I'm going to head over to the general section to post a question or two. We'll get back to y'all with pictures once our new arival is here.

Hi! Welcome! I've only had Chad for two weeks now so I'm new, too! I subscribed to your thread since there are a lot of good questions in it...

There's nothing better than a pink snake! Well, maybe a purple snake...

To the OP: Welcome! I LOVE Amels! I have my Rose, and am getting 3 MORE next wednesday! I'm so excited. . .

Nanci: I TOTALLY agree the only thing better than a pink snake is a purple one :)

Welcome! I am also a parent to 3 boys and in the process of preparing for our first snake. I hope you find this forum as helpful and welcoming as I have.

A word of caution... a month ago, I just wanted to make sure that we created the right environment and properly care for a new family pet. Now I'm spending hours reading the boards and studying morphs and obsessing over just which corn snake to acquire. A slippery slope... LOL
