Ok, well my son wants to use my corn snake for one of his projects... I told him I would tell him later when I had and he had an idea for what to do. i told him these guide lines
-Nothing that could harm it
-Not too stressful
and some others... but I was wondering if you guys could help me come up with ideas! (P.S, he is in grade 6 and I will be with him the whole time (to his embaressment))

It really depends on how big, and how easy to handle, your snake is. If you think your snake will do okay with kids wanting to touch it, then it would be a really good learning experience for them. But, no matter how many instructions you give them, they will be excited and will move a lot. Do you think your corn can handle that?

What if you try to make it navigate a maze? It will probably just find a comfy corner to sleep in, but it would be slightly science related. Or compare it to an animal that can be trained to go through the maze...

How about thermoregulation? He can observe the snake several times throughout the day and record if if it is on the cool or warm side, then chart where it spend more time. He can compare the day after feedings to right before feedings. He could either bring the snake in or just take pictures. It brings up good husbandry and something snakes do in the wild, and should make for a good display.
