So......about a month ago i got my first snake, Ziggy - a female extreme okeetee from SMR.
Well, I got this little one delivered last thursday from SMR. We'll see if I end up with a third in another month! LOL
She is nameless for now, but she is definetly a 'hateling' - I have only held her about 3 times now, and not for very long. She ate her first pinkie with me no problems. When I held her today she rattled her tail like crazy for the whole 5 mins I was holding her, she seemed very tense the entire time, she would not move much at all and just rattle her tail. She struck at me a few times while I was holding her.
Does all this seem pretty 'normal'? I know every snake is a little different, I just worry maybe something is wrong with her, that I don't realize. I left her alone undisturbed in her tank for 6 days (except for once on sunday when i poked around the aspen to make sure she didnt escape!) then fed her for the first time wednesday. She ate no problem!
Ziggy was the complete opposite, she would try to run away the first few times i picked her up, even rattle her tail a little.. but as soon as I got her in my hands she settled down right away.
I will post some better pics later, this one was when I first got her last week.
