Securing my screen cover..

Hi,
is it ok to use velcro to secure my cover? If i try really hard, I can get the velcro to come apart, but I don't think a corn snake is that strong?

Corns are stronger than you think (especially when full grown), and can concentrate their efforts. My Amel Boy could lift my end table when he got under it, by flexing. It's solid wood and NOT light.

Find a better way of securing your tank.

just order some clips or even go to a pet store. most have clips that will secure a lid down. if not you can fabricate your own i bet.

I use screen clips that I bought at PetSmart, and they work great. I was so paranoid back when I thought all my snakes were escaping (they were just piling up in a hollow decoration), I put 4 clips on my tanks - one on each side. I think 2 would probably suffice!
