Setting up for a 2nd snake

Hi There;

I'm back again. If I decide to get a second snake and get a tub, what is the best substrate to use, and would I need a heating pad under it. My living room, which is where it will reside is fairly warm in the summer, it gets the morning and afternoon sun, in the winter I heat with and outdoor wood furnace which makes the temps in the house quite warm to hot, (Forced air) and occasionally with oil heat.

Hi again,

I personally like News paper and paper towels. It's not very eye appealing, but it is very functional. Easy to spot clean. I would put a heating pad on the bottom of the tub. Use either a thermostat or rheostat to control the temps. It is crucial for your snakes to have proper, controlled temps to aid in digestion. Try to keep the tubs out of direct sun light too. It could get too hot. If you do keep you house warm then a good digital thermometer will help you check the tubs temps.

Good Luck,

Wayne
