Sexing

I need the forums help: I recently aquired 4 hatchlings. I was told that they were 1:3. Unfortunately, when they arrived, I was soooo excited that I forgot to take note of which was the male. I've tried to study their tails, but they all seem to be very similar in size (width & length). What can I do?!?!

The only way to tell the sex on hatchlings is to have an experienced person do something they call "popping" the snake. This procedure is used to expose the hemepenes in the male. It is difficult to do, and I don't recommend trying it unless you have been trained by an experience person. Unless you can find someone with experience, I would recommend that you just feed them and wait until they are about 2 ft. long, and then you can possibly tell the male by comparing the tails.
