She laid eggs in what? Question

One of my females laid eggs two days ago but she laid them in her water bowl. Not sure how long they were there maybe 18 hours to 2 hours. When she got out of the water she moved the eggs a good bit. I moved them just like I would any others to vermiculite and incubator. My question is should I expect them to be viable. Thanks for any help.

They are probably not viable. I'm sorry you didn't know to remove the water bowl and replace it with a very small one. Still, it won't hurt to try to incubate them, just in case. Moving probably didn't hurt them, but they are most likely drowned.

Thanks. I figured as much. This is my first season breeding so mistakes are going to happen. Not a novice to snakes just to the breeding part.

Again, I'm sorry you didn't know about this, and I have made an informational sticky to hopefully save future clutches.

I had it happen the first time I bred iguana's. What eggs that where not in the water ended up having a heat spike and I lost them that way. Not a good way to start out. So I am very sorry.

This was her second clutch this year. She laid ok the first time but I only ended up with 6 viable eggs out of 17 she laid. I am still waiting on those to hatch should be any day now coming up on the 65 day mark.
On a positive note I had another female lay eggs this morning. Excited about these.
Thanks for the great advise will be looking for more advise.

Here is a picture from this morning. I hope that the pic is not to big.
