She was in her blue period but wheres the skin now?

I haven't been watching Amber much lately because I've been so busy lately but she was in her blue period last week. However, over this weekend, her skin is new and her skin is bright and new.

Problem is...I don't see her old skin hanging around anywhere in the terrarium. I asked anyone in my house if they saw it at all and they said that they have no clue. I checked the substrate and I don't see anything!

How do you solve this mystery? :p

I had the same question when I first got here. Luckily, I looked up the FAQ on shedding before I asked it so I wouldn't look silly. (hehe just kidding!)

My first problem resolution for a fellow newbie!

drumroll....

He hasn't shed yet. The fluids under his skin that makes him look blue are there to "seperate" the old skin, and when the new one is fully formed.

Expect the shed in about a week, probably depending on humidity- which you might want to check...

:crazy02:

Ooops!
I meant when the new skin is formed the fluids go away.

I was so excited to be the first to answer this I didn't finish the sentence..

Yup...could be anywhere from 2 to 5 days from the time the "blue" clears up until he actual shed.

That always gets me :bang: and I always fall for it. :bang: :bang:

Thanks guys!

Actually...quite ironic but she just shedded her skin 2 seconds ago but its good scientific info. I needed to know that anyway.

Thank you once again! ^^
